Energy Storage Sci-Tech Innovation Team

Guided by the initiative of “Reaching carbon peak in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060” proposed by President Xi Jinping in a key period of global energy transformations, Energy Storage Sci-Tech Innovation Team is targeted at addressing major scientific issues in energy storage, major research tasks and large-scale sci-tech infrastructure, as well as making a highland of innovation with a full chain of original basic research, applied research and industrial development. The Team, driven by the “main engine” of ZJU-Hangzhou Global Scientific and Technological Innovation Center (HIC) and the interdisciplinary studies of energy storage science and engineering, aims to be a magnet of first-class energy storage research teams with global leadership, Zhejiang University characteristics and the spirit of science and innovation. Led by Researcher LU Yingying, a leading figure of National Ten Thousand Talent Plan for Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents, recipient of National Outstanding Youth Fund and Prof. JIANG Yinzhu, recipient of National Outstanding Youth Fund, the Team hopes to bring together a galaxy of interdisciplinary talents in the research on low-cost, high-specific energy, high-safety, long-life electrochemical advanced energy storage technology, mainly on new energy storage battery system, energy storage material design and mechanism research and whole life battery cycle, etc.

The team has so far published over 150 papers in SCI journals, e.g. Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed, PNAS, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Physical Review Letters, among which 8 were ESI highly cited papers. Moreover, the team has obtained more than 30 invention patents, in charge of or undertaken National Key R&D Program, Excellent Youth Fund and general programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), several International Cooperation and Exchange Funds. Some of the team members have been selected as Leading Talents of Ten Thousand Talents Program and Global High-Level Talent Introduction Program of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC. In addition, the team has undertaken several cooperative projects with State Grid Global Energy Internet Research Institute and Zhejiang Huayun Information Technology Co.

The team plans to recruit several postdoctoral researchers to satisfy its growing development.

 

I. Mainly recruit talents in 

Solid-state battery/Lithium-ion battery/Sodium-ion battery/Aqueous battery devices and key materials

Battery testing and whole life cycle awareness

 

II. Application requirements

1. Abide by the law, regulations and academic ethics, with physical and mental health, be passionate about scientific research, active and enterprising, practical and diligent;

2. Have a PhD degree awarded within the last five years or will obtain one soon, with background in materials, chemistry, chemical engineering and other related majors; under 35 years old in principle and full-time engagement in postdoctoral research;

3. Academic papers as the first author published in top journals in related fields, have the capacity of independent research in related fields, with good sense of teamwork;

4. Priorities will be given to the applicants with experience in interdisciplinary research or with outstanding research results.

 

III. Benefits and support

1. Annual salary before tax, in principle, not less than RMB 350,000 yuan (including local government talent subsidy), discussed individually for those applicants with remarkable achievements;

2. Talent polices of Hangzhou and Xiaoshan District governments to those who go on to work at the Center after completing postdoc studies;

3. Support grants of Hangzhou and Xiaoshan District respectively to those who receive the funding from China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and Zhejiang Provincial Postdoctoral Research Projects;

4. Talent apartment from Xiaoshan District or apartment of the Center;

5. First-class experimental and research facilities;

6. Additional funding or allowances to those who participate in major research projects of the Center and score remarkable achievements;

7. Those who meet the requirements during their postdoctoral studies can apply for the senior professional and technical positions of the Center;

8. Those who have outstanding performance during the work are recommended to apply for the faculty positions of Zhejiang University or R&D and administration positions of the Center if they meet requirements;

9. Those who meet the relevant regulations of Hangzhou can be assisted in getting the collective registered household of Hangzhou;

10. Those who meet the talent requirements of Hangzhou will be given priority in the lottery for purchasing the first apartment.
