Postdoctor
Laboratory of Ultra-visual Broad Spectrum Imaging Technology
I. Introduction
With an ultra-vision technology team consisting of four professors (including IEEE Fellow, National Distinguished Experts and Changjiang Scholars) and several PhD researchers from well-known universities at home and abroad, the Laboratory focuses on the development of high-performance, miniaturized and high-efficiency ultra-vision technologies and image sensor systems to provide “Future Smart Eyes” for the ubiquitous information era of IoT, AI and Big Data.
Highlighting the research on intelligent ultra-vision chip technology for China’s national development strategies and the future era of Smart Internet, the team carries out “interdisciplinary cross-application basic research” at the frontier of “microelectronics + X” discipline, obtains four-dimensional images and multi-dimensional material, biological, and chemical spectral vision by sensing X-Ray to mid- and far-infrared broad spectrum information. Meanwhile, with the artificial intelligence vision chip processing capability of new generation micro-nanoelectronics, the integration of silicon-based microelectronics and carbon-based opto-electronic devices at hardware and software, the team aims at breaking through the human limits of intelligent cognitive vision chip system, i.e. “seeing not only the outside but the inside”, or “seeing and understanding”.
The team proposed the synergistic absorption theory of graphene/silicon, which is expected to break the theoretical bottleneck of traditional silicon UV detector, addressed the universal problem of 2D/3D contact resistance in high-speed photodetector, achieved the graphene/silicon UV high-speed photodetector, and explored the graphene broad-spectrum mid-infrared light image sensor for room temperature operation. In view of the achievements in this frontier area, upon the invitation of Adv. Mater., ACS Nano, Physics Reports, IEEE and Chem. Soc. Rev., the team has written review papers and research papers in this field, summarizing the research on new materials and new device systems for photodetector/image sensing at the macroscopic scale. Meanwhile, the prospects for the application of such detectors/image sensors and the challenges and opportunities for the future are discussed.
In recent years, the team has published over 100 papers in top SCI journals, e.g. Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Photonics (News & Views), Nature Comm., Adv. Mater., Phys. Rep., Chem. Soc. Rev., Nano Lett., ACS Nano, Phys. Rev. Lett. and IEDM conferences as first or corresponding authors. In addition, the team has achieved ISI knowledge citations over 3000 times, H-index equaling 30, over 25 invention patents granted, 6 journal cover papers, 8 ESI highly cited papers. Besides, the team has undertaken 4 projects in National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), several projects of Zhejiang Provincial Distinguished Youth Foundation and Key Foundation, international cooperation and exchange funds, and participated in many national key R & D programs and major research programs.
