Supramolecular New Material Creation Innovation Workshop
I. Introduction
Focusing on the global frontier and major scientific issues in supramolecular new substance creation, the Workshop aims at the world sci-tech frontier, economic progress, major national needs, and people’s life and health by relying on the industrial advantages of the Yangtze River Delta, research strength of Zhejiang University and the innovative mechanism of ZJU-Hangzhou Global Scientific and Technological Innovation Center (HIC). It is expected that the Workshop will develop into a world-class center for the basic research and frontier research on the creation of new supramolecular substances. The Workshop, led by the Department of Chemistry, Zhejiang University, with the participation of multiple disciplines and solid scientific research, has introduced Prof. HUANG Feihe as Executive Dean. Prof. HUANG is a top world-class scientist, member of the Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, scholar of Cheung Kong Scholar’s Program, recipient of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and National Ten Thousand Talents Program as well as the chief scientist of New Material Creation Convergence Research Program of Zhejiang University. The Workshop mainly studies the creation of new assembly primitives, the development of new assembly strategies and materials.
II. Mainly recruit talents in

5. Ultra-high vacuum scanning tunneling microscopy;
6. Crystalline porous materials;
7. Porous material-based batteries and electronics;
8. Nanoparticle chemistry;
9. Topological polymers;
10. Functional organic macrocyclic molecules;
11. Novel carbon nanostructures;
12. Dynamic covalent bonding chemistry.
III. Application requirements
1. Have a Ph.D. degree awarded within the last five years and under 35 years old, with good moral, physical, mental health and academic performance;
2. Full-time engagement in postdoctoral research;
3. Background and research experience in chemistry, materials and related disciplines, with strong interest in supramolecular chemistry and materials research;
4. Good sense of teamwork and strong capacity of working independently;
5. Priorities will be given to the applicants with experience in interdisciplinary research or with outstanding research results.
IV. Benefits and support
1. Annual salary before tax, in principle, not less than RMB 300,000 yuan (including local government talent subsidy), discussed individually;
2. Talent polices of Hangzhou and Xiaoshan District governments to those who go on to work at the Center after completing postdoc studies;
3. Support grants of Hangzhou and Xiaoshan District respectively to those who receive the funding from China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and Zhejiang Provincial Postdoctoral Research Projects;
4. Talent apartment from Xiaoshan District or apartment of the Center;
5. First-class experimental and research facilities;
6. Additional funding or allowances to those who participate in major research projects of the Center and score remarkable achievements;
7. Those who meet the requirements during their postdoctoral studies can apply for the senior professional and technical positions of the Center;
8. Those who have outstanding performance during the work are recommended to apply for the faculty positions of Zhejiang University or R&D and administration positions of the Center if they meet requirements;
9. Those who meet the relevant regulations of Hangzhou can be assisted in getting the collective registered household of Hangzhou;
10. Those who meet the talent requirements of Hangzhou will be given priority in the lottery for purchasing the first apartment.
