Postdoctor
Laboratory of Novel Electromagnetic Structure and Quantum Electromagnetic Innovation
I. Introduction
The team, consisting of six professors from Zhejiang University (including Distinguished Professor of “Cheung Kong Scholar’s Program” of Ministry of Education, recipient of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and high-level youth talents) and PhD researchers from top universities at home and abroad, focuses on the system development of electromagnetic stealth, electromagnetic topology, deep learning and intelligent electromagnetic regulation, new artificial electromagnetic micro and nano structures, optoelectronic chips and quantum devices, so as to provide “future data core” for the ubiquitous information era of interconnectivity, artificial intelligence and big data.
The team aims at the research of new electromagnetic structures and optical quantum technologies in response to an era of national development strategy and future big data.
New electromagnetic structures: Targeting at the hot spots and frontiers of international electromagnetics research, the team is dedicated to the frontier basic theory of new artificial electromagnetic materials and its interdisciplinary studies, advancing synergistic interdisciplinary research with mathematics, physics, life and informatics, and integrating quantum regulation, bionic structure and artificial intelligence into the design methods of new electromagnetic micro-nano structures. Based on the advanced micro and nano manufacturing and processing platform of the Center, the team will develop micro and nano preparation processes and test and characterization methods for new artificial electromagnetic structures through the construction of general and special equipment, and then realize new functional electromagnetic stealth and electromagnetic topology devices, so as to lay a solid basis for future disruptive information technology.
Research on optical quantum technology: With the R&D of on-chip optoelectronic/optical quantum integrated devices and system heterogeneous integration, the team aims to achieve breakthroughs in ultra-high speed, low power consumption, and micro-nano integration for next-generation information processing chips. The team has proposed various new types of on-chip integrated linear/nonlinear devices such as on-chip quantum inelastic tunneling junctions and quantum nonlinear materials, which break through the limited modulation rate of traditional on-chip light sources and nonlinear bottlenecks of integrated photonic chips, and promote ptoelectronic/optical quantum chips.
In recent years, the team has published over 300 papers in major SCI journals, e.g. Nature, Nature Photonics, Nature Physics, Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Science Advances, PNAS, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Physical Review Letters, and 20 ESI highly cited papers. In addition, the team has obtained more than 15 invention patents. The team is also responsible for and has participated in a number of Major Project, Outstanding Youth Fund and general programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and International Cooperation and Exchange Fund. Meanwhile, the team has taken part in a number of national key R&D programs and major research programs.
