The lab is committed to overcoming pivotal scientific and technical challenges in the preparation of high-end silicon wafers and advanced semiconductor materials. Its focus is on breaking through technological bottlenecks associated with electronic grade polysilicon raw materials, large-diameter silicon wafers, and wide-bandgap semiconductor materials. This includes addressing both theoretical and technical aspects of impurity and defect control in high-end silicon wafers, as well as tackling growth challenges and defect management in wide-bandgap semiconductor materials through innovative epitaxial growth techniques.
