Future Science Research Institute

Focusing on the convergence and integration of material science, information science, and life science at the micro-nano scale, the Institute is committed to conducting application-oriented basic research and interdisciplinary frontier research around four major ecosystems: integrated circuits, synthetic biology, advanced materials, and instrumentation and equipment. It aims to promote the transformation of basic and interdisciplinary frontier research into technologies, supporting projects and teams at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 1–3 (principle discovery and preliminary research stage, exploring industrialization within three years), and helping to achieve the leap from TRL 3–5 (from technology development to validation through simulation).
