Intelligent Photonics Innovation Research Institute

Leveraging the technological sharing platform of HIC-ZJU and the IDM (Integrated Device Manufacturer) capabilities of its parent company, ZJEAGLES COMSEMI, the Institute aims to jointly build a leading hub for intelligent photonics technology and an engine for industrial innovation in the Hangzhou Bay area. It seeks to empower the upstream and downstream segments of the industry chain, gradually creating a cluster effect across the ecosystem. Fully utilizing the CMOS platform, the Institute focuses on the development of two-dimensional addressable and heterogeneous integration technologies, providing a core intelligent optoelectronic technology platform for sensing and interaction. This effort will establish a complete closed-loop system from R&D to pilot production for new-generation optoelectronic integrated core devices and is expected to achieve breakthrough innovations in China's optoelectronic industry. Vertical application innovations will be pursued across three major sectors, integrating the upstream and downstream industry chains, with a particular focus on bridging the application ends centered on artificial intelligence, intelligent driving, and smart sensing.
